About Diana Rebman

Wildlife photographer drawn to individuality, behavior and

connection in the lives of animals.

I am a wildlife photographer drawn to the individuality of animals and to moments that reveal behavior, relationships and connection.  My photography has taken me to remote places around the world, from tropical forests and African savannas to subantarctic islands.

Primates have always held a particular fascination for me, especially the relationships between mothers and their young, but I photograph wildlife broadly– birds and mammals, as well as the environments in which they live.

I am less interested in simply documenting a species than in making a photograph that allows the viewer to feel something about an individual animal.  The images that stay with me are the moments when behavior, light, environment and timing come together.
